4.5 Inline 6 for the 4Runner!
Hey guys. I was looking at some 4Runners on Cardomain.com and I came across this guy's 4Runner that was apparently custom made for him. The interesting thing is that he got an I6 4500cc engine that he claims produces 260 hp. I'm not sure if this it true or not. The engine code is 1FZFE. He has some pics in his website: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/415776 . If this is true then it may be a good idea for ppl who want to swap their engines!

I haven't looked yet, but that sounds like a LC engine... I dunno how he'd fit that beast into a 3rd gen bay. IMHO the 3.4 motor is good up to 260-280 hp... my 1FZ is pushing 345hp...

I call BS... I just looked @ the pictures....
1. They were all taken through glass.. who takes pictures of THEIR rig through another car window?
2. He said the motor was designed for the GX-R? Limited? NOPE. 95-97 LC had that motor.
3. His second page has pictures of a video game on the screen as substitues for his truck pictures... come on...

Yeah i thought it was probably bs, thanks for the input. I thought that since the engine code was supplied, that someone would clarify it. I agree that the pictures look 'suspicious'. The thing about it (if it was true...most likely not), is that the 4Runner was manufactured with that engine and it wasn't added later.

Yup that is highly doubtful. I would have been able to possibly belive him if he would have said he had th 4.7 V8 but that LC motor in there I just cant see it(very long engine).
