3rz problem
so i just picked up a 1995.5 tacoma 3rz. i have been driving it with no issues untill today. when ever i try to accelerate fast it sputters and dies but only inbetween around 1000 and 2000 RPMs. once i get it past that it drives fine shifts through the gears flawlessly. its on when i get under 2000 RPMs and try to accelerate. my thinking something to do with intake or exhaust??? iv never wheeled it im not sure what the PO did with it but its bone stock.

I would have guessed those 2 items as well.
Have you done a general tune-up? I always do that for a newly-bought used vehicle (plugs, airfilter, PCV). Clean the MAF as well.
Check the plug wires (assuming you have a distributer) to make sure they are not making contact with anything.

pull the spark plugs out and look for a cracked spark plug. it will have a black line running long ways on the part of the plug that the wire slides over. it usually leaves a tracer mark in the wire as well which means you will need plugs and wires.

or open the hood with the truck on at night and look for spark jump from a broken wire. you should also check for oil on your plugs the way our heads and valve covers are set up its a common issue
