3rd Gen Air Filter Dims

Can someone with a 3rd Gen 4Runner take a pic of their air filter (out of the airbox?)

I need all of the dimensions off of it. Where it inserts into the airbox, the top overall dimensions and the thickness of the various areas.

Thanks in advance!!

As you may know (or maybe not), I'm fabbing a custom intake for my 2G. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/custom-fabricated-intake-tube-box-snorkel-37554/

Since an Amsoil drop in filter is available for the 3rd Gen's in addition to a K&N drop in, I figured I'd explore if it was possible to make one of these work with the new box I'm fabbing up. I figured there would be a broader appeal to it this way.

I'll be in the garage later tonight, after eating out, grocery shopping and getting the boys to bed, so it'll be after 8 p.m. CST, but I'll get ya one up.

You could just get a Fram or some other cheapo from the auto parts store to use as your engineering mock up.

Great minds think alike.

I went to Autozone and had one in my hand. Looked a bit too big, so I got the one for the 2.7.

I'm hoping Amsoil makes one for the 2.7 also cause the 3.4 one is too big...

The AMSOIL 2 Stage foam filter for the 2.7 is the TS-117

http://www.amsoil.com/redirect.cgi?zo=511998&page=store

You can order one by clicking on that link when ever you are ready.

Thanks Brian, but I no longer need it. I was out, so I stopped at an Autozone and looked at the replacement filter for the 3.4. It is too big for my purposes. Thanks anyway!!

Thanks for the info Gadget!!
