3.4 Starts but won't run. What could it be

So I have a 3.4 from a wrecked 2000 Toyota Tacoma That will start and either idle or rev (if I hit the gas). But then it will shut off after only a second. Its not the MAF or the fuel pump. What could be causing this? I'm assuming it is a bad sensor somewhere or something caused from the accident. The truck sounds great for the second that it starts too. It's getting gas and starting for a second but something is shutting the engine off right after it fires for a second. Any ideas? Thanks

Okay so I just hooked up my scanner and I came up with a code P1300 which is listed as Igniter Circuit - No. 1. So how do I troubleshoot this? Going to search now but your response will be helpful thanks.

Well thanks for the replies. Haha. There was a wire connected to the ignitor that was broken inside the plug. All running now.

That was my problem too, the last time I swapped a 3.4L out of wrecked 2000 Toyota Tacoma. It's a common problem.

Haha so it sounds like the wires going to the ignitor aren't installed well? Which one did you have that was broke? Mine was going to the coilpack at the front of the engine. Main color was brown and I cant remember what the secondary color was. But it was broken at the ignitor that was mounted on the fender and the truck wouldn't start even before I swapped the engine.
