1st signs of auto transmission failure?

I have a 2002 double cab, supercharged w/ URD fuel upgrade, additional tranny cooler, Procomp lift with 33s. What are the first signs that something might be wrong with my tranny? It seems as in 2nd gear, the truck doesn't want to go when I accelerate to try and pass at low speeds.

The first sign is that it's an auto... :pat:

Seriously, there can be hundreds of signs, it usually starts out by doing something a little bit differently than it did for the last 2,000,000 times.

Slippage...The first thinig I'd do is get it flushed ASAP..Then, I'd go get a valve body upgrade! You have a lot of power running through that stock tranny. IIRC, Gadget blew his REALLY quickly.

Slippage is what I'm starting to feel, especially going up hill. Will flushing the tranny and getting the valve body upgrade fix the problem, or only prolonge the inevitable. Should I even try and get it fixed under warranty. My truck only has 35K miles on it. If I flush and do the valve body upgrade and it fails, there's no way that Toyota will fix it under warranty.

slipping is bad -clunking sounds are also bad - you might also notice a drop in MPG

my brother killed our 1990 Buick Century wagon by driving it for a long time with zero transmission fluid - idiot
that was such a great car....engine still starts it just cant go anywhere
