'03 interior finish easily scratched

I've had my '03 4Runner for two weeks, and am already seeing scratches appear on the cheap plastic interior pieces.

Of particular problem is where the seat belt buckle can rub against the center console. Time to find some film or something to try and prevent further damage.

My '00 Celica has this problem too--the plastic pieces are way too easily scratched.

Try 3M 1" or 3" clear tape. I use it on a lot of stuff.
I covered the LCD screen on my alarm remote so that it wouldn't get all scratched in my pocket. I also put it on my cell-phone screen. It's clear so you see right through it. And, unless you get some bubbles trapped under it, you can't tell it's there.
I also put a strip on the center console next to my seat belt buckles. I buffed it with iron wool to dull the shine and make it match the surrounding area.
I also put a small piece on the passenger window behind the door lock knob. Some of my ring-wearing passengers started scrathing the hell out of my window tint.

That might be a great thing to put under the exterior door handles. Mine are scratched all to hell from fingernails...

Toyota interior plastic is notorious for being soft. It scratches very easy. Ask any moble electronics installer and the will confirm this.
