Well got my 35 spline stub shafts and new u joints in the D60. Thanks to my buddy i got the axle from for the help. I also gave it a quick paint job to prevent any rust while it sits in the garage. Also a teaser pic of the 60 next to the 14 bolt.

You notice it getting real hot in the cab without the carpet? I live in Georgia too and I got no A/C and the heat is my only hesitation from doing bed liner in the cab. The entire exterior is getting lined shortly and just trying to decide on the interior.

I ran no carpet and no bed liner for a couple months and I didn't think it made the ride any hotter (I also have no A/C). The transmission tunnel area does get warm to the touch but no big deal. The bed liner helped in keeping heat out and the trans tunnel doesn't get as hot now.

Today, I finally put on the tire that came with the truck to replace the the unevenly worn bald tire. The tire was on the front and the previous, previous owner (thats 2 owners ago... Lol) drove it around with bad tie rod ends and some other fu**ed up front suspension and steering parts. Then the previous owner fixed all of that and put the messed up tire on the back and the better one on the front. You still with me? Lol. Its a long story.... Right before he sold the truck, he bought a new tire to replace it but didn't get it installed before i bought the truck. So i broke out the tire iron and changed it by hand.

I went wheeling again Saturday and got more body damage... Lol
One of the guys i wheeled with has a awesome 86 extra cab. He did a sas, 3 linked with 14 inch air shocks and he's also running dual cases, Detroit rear locker, lock rite front locker, 5.29's, and 37 maxxis creepy crawlers.
And last but not least i washed the truck after wheeling several time without doing so.

One was Dodd Rd. You can google it and a jeeper page comes up and you can get the address. The other is called flatland rd. and its not as fun and challenging as dodd. Dodd is like the most difficult road in ga that is legal.

Glad to see you are still driving and working on the truck.
The raptor liner turned out looking great. I have used that stuff quite a bit. I have it on about 85% of my whole runner floor and on the rockets of it as well. Is has proven to be very durable providing that the prep work is up to par. That was the biggest issue I encountered with the raptor liner.
Maybe I missed it, but what spring setup are you thinking of going with?

I Plan on running leafs in the back. (Probably some 63 inch chevy leafs) And I thought about running some type of custon 3 or 4 link front but now im thinking about just running leafs in the front too. Probably with the sky manufacturing one ton sas kit.

Last night i took the plunge and ordered some stuff. I got all the stuff to mount the rear leafs from ruff stuff. I got the front leaf spring mounts from sky manufacturing. And last but not least, I got the dual case, top shift kit, front 3" lift leaf springs, and front shock hoops from trail gear. I still need stuff to build both axles, go junk yard diving for 63" leaf springs and some odd and ends like u bolts, brake lines, drive shafts, ect...
