Have you thought about 'light touch' LED switches? They're a lil bigger than those above... but pretty cool! lol. I saw them at Pep Boys the other day.

Not sure if I have seen them, have a linky?

One of my concerns is how easy the panel and switch is to navigate with gloves on.

Not crazy about cutting rectangles in this panel, drilling holes is easier and cleaner for me. Thanks guys.

I can't wait, .... gonna look sick!

I just thought you could use one of those multi-panel LED switch things... Then you'd just have to cut out like 3 Squares to get like 15 Switchs in there and... Thought it might go in cleaner... maybe not, lol. I LOVE those too, some of the ones Ian posted? NICE! Push button idea is really smart! You could even design a nice/clean smoked plexi cover or something, no? Maybe one that goes up and in like a double din? hehe.

Agreed chef.

In other news, I need an engine. Tore the heads off today, and every cylinder has gouges in the cylinder walls. I've seen and felt mild scratches but these are pretty deep. Not sure if I am going to rebuild it or swap in something else. Money is a concern since I wasn't prepared for an engine rebuild. Maybe it's time to drop a new mill in. 3.4 would be easiest and cheapest. Id rather spend the time and effort into a diesel.

Dayummmmm! Grrrrr.... Hmm, well, if you're going to 3.4'it then now's the time, right? Thought about the 1UZ? I know it's more work, but DANG! lol.

Tough decision, eh? Have you looked into 'for sale' stuff yet on the 3.0 end? I know a couple out here, which does you very little good, lol.... but between the lot of you east coasters.... GOTTA be a VeeZee ready to go, reasonably priced, no?

Yes cheapest and easiest would be 3vz. But I still have to take out the engine, and then go over the next engine( make sure maintence is good, HG...) for that effort I almost want to swap something more desirable, but if I go to that effort I really want it diesel. I just need to leave it be for a bit.

theses always alot of talk about diesel but do you know how to work on them. if engine issues come up with a diesel your gonna have the branch off into other forums for help. the 3.4 would be the best swap for you. gain power and such an easy engine to work on plus they are not know for any issues

If I could get pane at any gas station while on long trips ifs do it.

Diesel, I have no prior experience. But there are plenty of forums with diesel knowledge I can tap into, most Aussie. And i found a local source that services a few Toyota diesels I'd be interested in, so worst case I can get a mechanic familiar with a foreign lump.
