Sorry for the lack of pics and quality. Here is some of what I have done yesterday and today. I finished putting the front axle together, put the leaf springs on, and torched all the brackets off of my rear housing.
Tomorrow I am going to grind the housing down and put the axles under them so I can roll the frame around. Then I am going to paint it and putting the engine, trans, and tcase on the frame.
I have deviated slightly from the plan I made and have done things a little out of order due to circumstances beyond my control, but am cruising along all the same.

Last weekend I didn't work on the truck because I was busy doing things around the house.
I turned something like this
Into this
And then made a little garden in the backyard

Yay for progress no matter how slow. I know the shackle angles are bad but there is also only two hundreds pounds of weight on the springs.
I am going to weld in the tube for the rear mounts and paint the frame next. Then the drivetrain, then body back on.

I wanted to SAS which means leafs or links and I opted for leafs. Also I have read bad things about lifting the stock rear suspension that much on the 4Runners.

My license plate removed itself from my truck and was MIA so I ordered up a new one. I decided to get a custom plate that makes me happy and so I purchased one for my 4Runner with 35's and a 6.0 V8 that says HICARBON. I just wanted to say hello to the environmentalists out there that will hopefully cringe at the sight of my Runner.

Thanks I really wanted to have it done by now and didn't expect it to take this long but I haven't been able to get to the shop to work on it It doesn't help that their hours suck.

Cool man good luck with it. I really like the blue. I have my eye on there heaps of parts that used to be FJ's. I would prob already have them if I had a place to put them. Later
