InYaFace 1986 4x4 sr5 build-up thread

So I just Bought this little guy about a week ago , taking it into the school Auto shop to get some stuff fixed up and installed since I would have all the tools at my disposal, then Hopefully take it into the BCIT bodyshop and get the body re done and painted burnt orange ( Only have to pay for materials). Once that is done I have a lot of plans for this truck. I want to do a SAS on it, lift is it up 4-5 inches , 33 inch tires, alittle bit of motor modification to pump out as much torque and horse power out of it as I can out of it without giving away to much gas mileage (still have to drive it everyday lol). I want to know your guys opinion on putting a straight pipe on it, since I dont have to go through aircare (GVW 5001+). Just any advice from your guys experience working on these engines (22re).What are the best modifications to the engine to bring up the horse power without giving away to much fuel mileage. In my head I have a more free flowing exhaust (straight pipe), cold air intake. Any advice would be appreciated.

A straight pipe might not be such a good idea. It'll be extremely loud.
Theres plenty of info in this forum so search around and youll be surprised with what you find... i was and still am.

Welcom to Yotatech!!
