i am having sever issues with this part of my build, the alternator is for the 96 chevy 4.3l and i know all the wires from the old toyota wiring harness, i just dont know what tires to put where for the alternator. my wife is helping me with this as i am stationed in oki japan for 2 years for the marine corps. she went to turn the lights on today and the truck just died and not only that it draws power from the batter when truck is off and you can hear a faint whine from the alternator as the truck is off drawing power until you unplug the alternator plug, it runs great and will drive but im sure its just living off the battery and altenator isnt charging the battery like its suppose to.

if any one has this same build set up please help its driving me crazy.

it is 96 carbed if that helps, its running a msd ignition, msd distributor, did have a msd retard timing control till a shop cut my wiring to try and attememt to fix alternator, edelbrock carb and intake. ill get better pics later
