Ted- Thanks for looking, I'll let the thread jack slide .

Jeff- Yeah I'm missing a few from each wheel. It kind of goes with the theme, but I think I'd rather make the ride a little safer. I appreciate the offer, that would be great!

I challenge any other state to match the generosity and helpful nature of the Arizona Yotatech crew. You guys are great!

Great build - love the photos of the PO's miscues....wow!

When I first saw the goop picture I thought it was what came out of the oil pan when you blow a HG.....can't believe that's gear oil (or was!).

Hey Lofregjeff....any chance some of your spare parts include a 22RET thermostat housing, or SR5 power window switches for my 87?

Back to the real thread now.....

Just let me know how many you want - you are welcome to them all if need be - and I know exactly where they are

I totally agree about our fellow AZ Yotatecher!! We are pretty kick butt arn't we

But really, over the years, if it wasn't for the awesomeness of the people on here (local and abroad) I probably woun't have ever gotten so involved in off roading/Toyota's - I'm sure to some, that may be viewed as a curse, but to me it has been a blessing!

I'm heading home from the office now Nate - give me a call when you want to get them.

Thanks Jeff, could I stop by this weekend if you're around?

Philbert, thanks for the comments. I'm trying to set the baseline of what I'm starting with so it will be all that more meaningful if I ever get this pile trail worthy.

I thought the exact same thing. Will be interesting to see you unbuild this truck and then rebuild it. Best of luck.

I should be around most of Saturday then Sunday after 1 - I'm getting the gears done tomorrow, should have it back on Friday so Saturday I might just end up driving around aimlessly just to get some miles on it - I can deliver since I'll probably be out anyway.

Give me a call sometime and we'll work something out - 480 209-5815

I didn't even notice a typo till you mentioned it - it happens, I'm sure I have fat-fingered someones name a time or 2 before.

Happy to be in the AC, it was 112 with a humidity percentage of 45+... for 8 hours. But I love my job...and the boss is cool too.

Thanks Z.

So I got out to the junkyard this morning and picked up some leaf springs from a '92 F150 4x2. They have 4 leafs plus an overload, which according to this chart, http://littlekeylime.com/MrN/mrnimages/leaf_springs.png, means they have a 1850lb capacity as they sit. I wanted something that could handle some weight because I carry a lot of gear when I wheel, but that I can still pull a leaf out of if its too stiff. Also went ahead and grabbed the u bolts. $10 for a u bolt flip kit, I'll take it! It was going to cost more than that just for shipping if I ordered one.

Great weather to be out junkyarding!

Not at all. Went to Pick N Pull on 56th St & Chandler Blvd. Paid $100 for both leafs and all 4 u-bolts. The place is really clean and organized (for a junkyard) and they have prices and inventory online.

Hey buddy, were there any yota's there? Next time you go, or any one for that matter, I need a (1) new button for the AC switches..you know he little knobs that go over the little arms that keep your fingers from getting all sliced up. Just one..I went to "Toyota Salvage" out off 48th and the 10fwy in downtown and not one yota truck had one. And they were all picked over. I called before I went and they said they had some of the items I needed...Not even....wasted a trip and time.

Nate, I'll have to hit that JY if you say there were some yoter's....if not, back to the drawing board and more searching...let me know next time you go, I'll drive my new DD, it sips gas....I love it.

Ted- I'm pretty sure that I've got one or two of those knobs on my parts truck. I'll take a look in the morning and let you know. Toyota Salvage never has anything I need, its too bad because they're right by my house.

Welcome to yotatech Connor! Nah, 4runner. The camera lady, the dog, and the ice chest each need their own seat.
Feel free to jump in anytime.
