No. Pics are still small. When you're on photobucket, copy the "[IMG]" link straight into the reply box where you type.
That way the pictures are bigger. I'd like to see the process of the narrowing, especially since I would love to do it to my truck someday. But damn, I can't see whats going on with the tiny pictures.

Losing 12" is this a single seater? Two seats are gonna be tight...
Edit: you cut and turned the knuckle balls on the front end or just going to do the spring pads? Can't get much just doing the pads before it gets fubar...
If you used photobucket the pics would not be showing uP as an attachment

I tried to click and do it with the image and yotatech telss me its an invalid file.
I go into manage attachments, then to upload file from url and I copy n paste from my photobucket albums then when I hit upload it give me a message that says invalid file so when I tried the 'direct link' 2 above image when making choice it was the only 1 that worked..... WTF?
see thats why I dont post up here... or anywhere.
I think I may have fig it out.....

lol, me and a guy my size have already sat in those seats in the truck (and made engine noises and held up an imaginary steering wheel... dont we all do that?)
and it is tight but for a trail truck no big deal me and a girl in it would be much better off .
the part that I am not happy about is my steering wheel will be off center a bit, 3-4 inches. it isnt worth trying to move or mess with it.
that would open another can of worms, that isnt worth it to me at this point, later maybe... I will have an entire dash to mess with when im done and can swap it all later
If I have to cut and turn them I will but I am not going to go real high with this build, I am going to get creative and keep it looking the least hacked up I can (Ironic?!!)
I am wanting this truck to handle roads as well as it can (sway bar front and rear w/disconnects)

back of the cab after cutting
I cut the raised portion inside the cab staggered to the overall cut for structural stability instead of doing 1 straight cut.
this was down to 6 inches to be slid together

front shot, it becomes a big pain in the ass but you have to keep setting it all in place to get an overall feel for the body lines making sure each one lines up.
Here is the hood too.

Pictures are getting bigger, but still on the small side.
Make sure the upload options in photobucket are set at 1024X768 for a good size picture.
Sorry to be picky, but I'm sure everybody else watching is thinking the same thing.
Truck is looking good though, I can't wait to see it with everything else under it.

Thanks.
I made a jig to hold the hood and allow it to slide together without flopping around.
all my cuts that went thru any 2 peices that were together for bracing, cuts were made thru 1 peice and then further away on the next (inner hood structure as well as cab) you can see what I mean in this photo. it keeps alot of the structural integrity if not all
this way- an overlaping effect where the joints are.

hard
Thats the look I was shootin for, lol.
as far as the sectioning dropzone, I wanted this to look as unmolested as I could. I do realize that cutting out a 12 inch strip would be hella easier I took the more difficult route to make a clean seamless...chop- sideways?! a little more work but well worth it.
I did some body work on it today and will post up pics in a bit.
Overall it is looking great to say the least (though you couldnt tell from my polaroid pics!!)
I do have a front core support and inner fender(together) for it to repair the drivers side. I will place it on after I narrow it 12 inches as well

its looking good, I got the back of the cab started... long straight welds or should I say lots of small tack welds (like a few hundred) to keep the warping down.
the cowl is welded and that was probably the most complex part to do since I wanted all the slots to come out even and have a functioning wiper smack in the middle of it all. it came out very nice and will not require much filler to clean it up.
The stroke of the wiper and wiper motor were a fun one to figure out to get the wiper to pass over the entire windshield with a 20 inch wiper blade.
the floor boards are done and backed with a 1/2 strip of sheet metal to keep the strength of solid metal, it will have a liner put under it and insdie of it similar to rhino lining for water/rust resistance and easy to clean out
