I did a quick search through this forum and didn't see my question answered. If I'm asking something that's already been asked, my apologies!!

I'm looking at swapping tires from an '87 4Runner DLX to an '86 SR5. The DLX has the basic steel rims w/ 235/75R15 tires; the SR5 has 15x7 JJ 15 rims w/ 31x10.5r15 tires which are taller and wider than the tires on the steel rims.

The tires on the steel rims have less than 5k miles on them; the SR5 tires are junk. I'm going to scrap the '87 and keep the '86, and I'd like to put the tires from the steel rims onto the SR5 rims.

Will they fit?

They should. I have 15x6 rims and I've had the stock 235s and 31x10.50s on them.

15x6 wheels came stock on my 87.
