Tacoma 17" Wheels on 2nd Generation 4Runner. Front Caps Don't Fit! Help! 265/65/17
Hello Everyone!
I just bought some 17" Tacoma wheels with tires 265/65/17 (takeoffs) and installed them on my 1993 4Runner. The front wheel caps will not fit! While at the store, I seen another 4Runner with aftermarket wheels and noticed they have a basic center cap. I am hoping that can be an option. I would really like to put the Tacoma center caps on the front wheels. Anyone have a solution? Or options? Thanks everyone!

Don't laugh! I haven't replaced the rear springs and the front hasn't compressed since we lifted it to change the tires! Hard Times!

I am trying to find out a similar siguation. I have a 2007 Tacoma and just got a 1992 4runner and want to put the Tacoma factory steels on the 4runner. Will this work? I can always customize the front caps, drill the center out. How did yours work?

The wheels bolting on is not the issue. The issue lies in the center caps. Since toyota redesigned the ADD system in 1995, the center caps from the later model stuff won't fit on the 86-95 IFS systems. You will have to modify the center caps to fit.
The wheels will bolt on just fine, as they use the same 6 on 5.5" bolt pattern.

Front Center Cap fitment for Tacoma 17" Wheels on 2nd Gen 2wd
Hey did you ever come up with a good solution for the front center caps?
What I thought would be a quick dremel trim didn't work like I expected. The tabs that hold the cap to the hub are too big/ hub diameter is to big. Looking for a way to hold the cap on if I trim these tabs. Thanks... I'll try to get pics on here soon.
I'm new to the 4Rs. Just bought a 95 with a bad motor and got it back on the road last week. Picked up the same sweet tacoma 17 inch wheels but realized the front center caps won't fit.

Buy some 1/2" or 1" wheel spacers and be done with it.
