if i were you though id buy a 99 or 00 4wd with an elocker and swap all your crap over so you can sas it with all that money instead of just ending up with a run of the mill 4wd 4r

How are you doing that?
Yeah, what's holding the bearings in and the wheel on the spindle? Did you do some research before just deciding you could run without a CV?

As for Fort Collins to Denver, depends a lot on where in Denver. North side of town, close to 25, traffic won't be too bad (depending on weather). I'm in Longmont, and "the Fort" is 30-45 mins from here - about the same as to the airport.

it isnt easy, but neither is all the work youre about to do to bring it to where a regular 4wd 4runner already is, hahah.

just a suggestion... if im gonna start tearing things in my drivetrain apart, it will be to sas

for the record, im not just talking out of my butt, i am/have been thinking about picking up an older 4r, swapping my stuff over, and either keeping my 01 as a dd or selling it stock.

yeah i know that, but the thing is i have actually gone to places looked at a 99 green highlander and even tried to trade it then, would have payed a decent amount for the trade in. just not worth it imo. I already have too many miles for a trade in anyways

My fault guys, I should have mentioned that fully before.

Lee, SAS really isnt in my best interests anyways, this truck is my expedition vehicle, really nothing more then that, maybe some crawlin here and there but nothing beyond that.

i cant imagine i could ever be the first, im far too much of a n00b to the ecu's and all that crap to ever do this first hahah

i want YOU to go first

this wouldnt be an easy choice anyhow, ive had my truck since 44K, shes at 112K now and i have been through a lot with her

Cool, be sure to take lots of pictures and do a write up. I'm sure there are others out there who would follow in your tracks on this conversion.
