Question SURVEY: BFG M/T's or PRO COMP M/T's or PRO COMP XTERRAIN

I would appreciate feedback from those that have used anyone of these tires as I am mounting one of these sets on my rig I've been working to finish...thanks.

Heard too many bad stories about Pro-Comps, plus 4Wheelparts uses them on everything, which makes me really uncomfortable because of 4WP reputation. Anyway, I have BFG's and I love them. They're great on and off-road.

I have both mtr and bfg mt's. And I like the mtr alot more. The seem to drive straight and smooth. Where my mt's like to wander abit.

I suggest the Dunlop mud rover. just as aggressive as any other mud radial out there, but about $125 for 285s you wont beat the dollar/performance value

BFG. a friend has the Xterrrains and they are VERY soft. don't know anything about the ProComp M/T, but the BFGs are solid performers.

I've had Xterrains for close to 5000 miles and they look brand new. they are also very quiet. I had MTR's and they were really good, not as quiet though. BFG's were loud, but that was years ago.... i think the tread pattern is a little different. I've been happy with all three

1. I used a set of Pro Comp xterrains for about 25k miles and I did not like them. They were difficult to balance and had major cupping issues. They were poor performers in mud but were okay on rocks. On road I found them to be pretty loud.

2. I've now been using BFGs mts for about 5000 miles and I really like them a lot. They are much better in mud and on rocks. They are also much quieter then the xterrains although I expect they will get louder as they wear. On wet/rainy roads both tires are about the same.

BFG MT's. I think the ProComps run on the small side also.
