Firestone Destination MT
Just for info for people looking for tires. I just put on a set of the new Firestone Destination MT's on my Tacoma. I had them on the street for about a week before taking them up to Hollister and running the trails up there for a day with the TTORA guys. On the street, they are pretty nice. A bit louder than my old MT/R's but not much. Very smooth riding, and seem to have good traction. Off the road. those things kicked some serious butt! The handle rocks and dirt no problem, and when it came time to get muddy, boy oh boy did they dig in! They tore through mud like crazy and cleaned themselves well. They did way better than my MT/R's ever did in the mud. All this for around $30 less per tire than the Goodyears and about $50 less per tire than the BFG's. Unless I come across a serious problem with them I am sold as to their abilities.

I had never heard of these before...they rank right up there with the revos....and the tred looks a hell of a lot better..
I will go down to the shop to fix my eyes on these badboys this week.

Glad to see someone have the balls to try them out. I was on the fence about these, and went with the BFG MT's. In my case, the Destination Mt's were about $30 more per time. (33x12.5R15)

The size I put on were the 265/75R16's. The are only 1/10th of an inch begger than the MT/R, but they look a hell of a lot bigger. I will post up some pics soon.

Only $4CDN cheaper to get the Firestones over the BFG's from 1010tires.
Destinations have a 4.4 rating, BFG's are 4.1 overall out of 5 on 1010tires.
Cheaper and more performance?
I'm sold!
My main selling point is the fact that they can accept studs. I mostly drive in snow, so this is a must have for myself.
