what was the situation that you had a problem with them in the rain? was it at highway speeds, around a turn?

Ditto, they aren't much better in snow either. After driving in snow on a daily basis in WY, I'll never buy these tires again.

My GF had them on her '94 Toy PU and they hydroplaned at even 55mph and I like a mileage warranty since my Runner is still 90% pavement pounder and can't see a reason for BFGs on my daily driver. Off road tho' BFGs kick ass and have very strong sidewalls.
Most people have BFGs for the look and not the performance,at least from my observations locally.

JUNK. They look good. But suck in the rain, snow and they are loud. Revos or M/T, M/TR

Overall, I am happy with my Revo. But for some reason, my tires keep breaking loose when I was in Indiana and wisconsin under rainy and snowy condition. I didn't floor mt truck at all

the revos are probably the best all terrain around

the bfgs are good... but its been my personal experience that any bfg pretty much sucks in hte rain... the a/t or the m/t and i have used both.... they ride nice and do have a little hum, but arent bad.... when i went out to thaven in my explorer the a/ts were awesome aired down to 15 psi.....

my Bfg at's skid in the snow, plane in the rain, load up in the mud, spin freely in loose dirt, don't like to hold any junk out of the bead under 20psi.

But hey they hook up awesome on dry warm pavment!

Oh and I beat the crap out of those side walls regularly. Two cans of fix a flat and they hold air (marginally)

I have had mine hydroplane in the rain at 55 too. Not a very fun experience, and I kind of expect it when there is enough water on the freeway. I think I will get something else when these wear out. I probably have another year on the tread.

Mine have been great, on and off the road. I have had no bad issues in the rain or snow.
