I have been searching, and I think I have my answer but I can't verify it manually(also known as trying it out) because my back decided to go out on me again and I am on the couch waiting for my rx for pain pills and my 6 pack of beer to arrive
I have two trucks, an 84 4runner with 5" of lift and running 35's on stock axles. My other truck is an 03 Tacoma that I put 16" 4runner limited 5 star rims on with 255/85/16 tires.
I have been wanting to run spacers on my 4runner to widen the stance, and if i like it, I might go with the wider rear axle next. If I get the spacers (1.5") would a 16" rim fit, and if it did fit would it just put my stance back to what it was without the spacers?
The reason I ask is that we are going to explore Big Bend Ranch next month and I want to take the 4runner, but I am thinking of swapping over my 255's onto my 4runner for the trip. If I like the ride with that size, I am going to plan on buying another set just for the 4runner.
I think the 4.88's in the 4runner with the 255's would be ideal. That's why I am contemplating the swap.
