So what would you think about wiring those two fans directly to a switch on my dash? I cant really figure out how they are supposed to be wired to the ECU, so that was my solution.

ON the crossover to the downpipe, not to insult you, but you know that there should be a couple of donut looking gaskets in between there right> One for each pipe. Those are in good shape?
Make sure that you cooling system is free of air inside. Search burp air.
I dont have electric fan so i dont know about that. Running via the ECM not sure on but manually operating a fan would be a hassle. You can probably buy thermostats to control it from SUmmit racing

Yeah I knoss about the donuts. I might have messed up something while doing the whole custom crossover. Matter of fact I might have lost one of those donuts. Anywhere I can get them cheap?

ya i only mention that because I forgot to install them the first time and then saw them on the bench after it was all together and then had to go back and put them in.
I would think that would be a dealer item

My truck runs around 190F with the stock 3.0 FAN and no shroud. I head down to the local wreck yards and either find a 3.0 fan shroud or go with an electric setup.
Factory h2o reads 1/2 way of the gauge. I'd like to bring the temp down...

I really didn't have to burp my system. If you want to make sure all the air is out, it's possible to keep the cap off until the thermostat opens up. But more or less fill it to the max, and the upper hose squeeze it a bunch of times to help promote the flow of water into the upper area of the engine.... That's what I did.

I thought about doing that but I wanted to keep my shroud. I know the 3.4 fan is maybe 2" bigger than the 3.0. But since i have a new one coming I'll try that. If not, guess Ill try throwing on the 3.4 fan. Just did the tach mod and it works great! While I was in there I took out those two stupid blinking lights. I know thats not the right way to do it but they were driving me insane! I get a check engine light for one thing, evap pressure sensor failure. I tried hooking up all the VSV's like I saw in someones thread, I cant remember whose, but maybe Ill have to double check. Also still needing something to fix that stupid exhaust leak. I just called carquest and they said if i brought in something off the old one they might be able to match it up. If not I guess I will try the homeade route with a piece of aluminum or something.

VSS was probably my thread. I just got it fixed. Ran the old VSS plug and wires directly to the 3.0 Dash Side Connector. also my temp gauge wasn't reading at first because the stupid thing was unplugged at the sensor. It's located next to the heater hoses. Check the connection. Also if you take the wire coming from the gauge and ground it, and turn the key to the On Position, the gauge should spike all the way to hot. This is a quick way of testing the gauge and that wire.

This thing drives like a bat out of hell! Definately worth it all. It is a night and day difference. Just need to put my skid plat back on and see what I can do with the CEL. I think the Evap code went away but now Im pulling something for the O2 sensor heater circuit? Could this just be from the rear one not being hooked up? If so I might need to do the trick for it. I am very happy with the way it all turned out. Next is getting my exhuast, maybe a flowmaster. Haven't decided quite yet. My next goal is SAS and gears!!

Do you know where the Speed sensor is? Alot of my wires got pulled out of the plug already and Im not sure what pin they were in. I could just test continuity from the wire I think it is to the speed sensor, but I don't know where it is lol
