Great work on getting your swap to run. Your thread has been encouraging to continue to trouble shoot through my swap although the electrical piece is my weak point.
When you get a chance do you mind posting a pic of how you adjusted your throttle cable or mount? I'm finding that my stock 3.4 cable is about 2" short. My cable is from an 01 4Runner and my engine has an 01 intake manifold but a 99 throttle body. I'm wondering if the change from mechanical to electric also changed locations and distance to the mount.
Thanks man!

That's odd that your 3.4 cable is short. I've read that the 3.4 is longer than the 3.0 cable. I'm using the stock 3.0 cable, all I had to do was take the bracket off and bend it down till it wasn't holding the throttle open.
I hooked up my OBD2 port and used my Scangauge2 the view the codes. The code I was getting was P0171, with a quick Google search it was a lean condition mostly caused by a dirty MAF sensor. I cleaned the MAF sensor and cleared the CEL. The CEL came back on within 5 min, P0171, cleared it again and drove around some more, hasn't came back on yet.

Been driving it around the yard some and I keep getting the CEL with the P0171 code, and it's running extremely rich constant black smoke out of the tail pipe at idle. When I rev the engine it shoots smoke out like a diesel engine. This only happens when the CEL is on. I've been reading about the P0171 but I haven't seen where it caused it to run rich. It drives normal to me, the idle is a little rough though. When I clear the code I can drive it around and the CEL doesn't come on but when I stop and it idles about a minute the CEL comes back on. I just don't want to buy a new MAF sensor and it doesn't fix it running rich, anybody have any thoughts? Or should I ask the Tacoma/4runner guys?
Edit: I've ruled out the Engine coolant temp sensor because on my Scangauge2 it shows the engine around 184-190 degrees when warmed up.

So was it labeled IGSW on the ECU module? My rig wont crank over as well. Have power to the ig2 when keys on on position but when i try to fire it up wont even crank over. COR has power too. some pins on MAF and Igniter illuminate as well.

I've been away form my own build thread long enough, just an update.
I have not fixed my CEL problem yet. Just have the O2 sensor unplugged to make it through hunting season. Runs great though. Next couple of weeks I'm going to check the codes and get it running 100 percent as well as get some body work and frame work done.
