Back... 3.4 swap running rough

I did this swap a while back and had to drop the project because I was laid off and lost temporary interest. Well, things have changed and I'm back in the game..

In short: 3.4 V6 swapped into an 85 pickup...

Starts and idles fine, but once you drive there seems to be a pretty sever hesitation as if it's missing or has a lack of fuel. Once in gear it seems to almost stall until it's in a higher rmp range.

I do NOT have a full exhaust system.

My first O2 sensor is hooked up and my 2nd O2 is NOT.

When I complete my system and by pass my 2nd O2 sensor Elvota's bypass... do you think it could solve my issues?? Or maybe a back coil pack??

I wasn't quite sure what to search for? any tips would be appreciated.

Is your obd2 working? is this in open look or closed loop? what year is the ecu and motor? was it all from 1 donor or did you piece it together?

It's all from one truck: I believe an 99 Tacoma. Should have around 60K and again.. idles fine, maybe a little high.

OBII works, if I remember correctly the O2 sensor was the only code that came up. I suppose, is what I am describing a sypm tom of a missing rear 02 sensor?

This is strickly a farm/rock crawler, just FYI.

not sure what you mean by open vs. closed loop. This was my first swap of any kind..

With obd2 you can hook up a scanner and watch to see what the computer is doing when the problems happen. I would start with the tps sensor.

haha- yeah man, that's more than likely me. Finally got a new job and been saving up for a bit. Went offroading with a friend and got more motivation than I need!

In the mean time, thanks! I know my TPS sensor is well grounded, but let me put the computer back on it this week and see what I come up with..just trying to reacquainted to all this.
