94 3.0 pickup 5 speed to 3.4 99 auto vehicle speed sensor??
Im in the middle of my swap and I have noticed an issue. On my truck (94 3.0 5 speed pickup) the vehicle speed sensor on the transfer case directly in front of the reat driveshaft has 3 wires. The harness the 3.4 came out of for the 99 4runner auto has 2 wires for the speed sensor.
I figured out the 4wd switch and reverse light switch but not the speed sensor?
How do I wire it up to make it work?

Yes I have both ewds. I glanced at them but didnt know if the speed sensor on my truck was a hall effect or if it was wired like you said. Ill figure it out or at least try too.
Thanks Travis.

I am using my r150f from the 94. The ecu for the 3.4 is an auto from 99 4runner. I know that the 3.4 ecu has pins for spd+ and spd-. The 3.0 only had a pin for spd.
I just needed to know how to route the wiring. Do I just find out which of the 3 pins on the vehicle speed sensor on the r150f goes to the ecu and put them into the spd+ and spd- of the 3.4 ecu? What about the 3rd wire?
The speed sensor for the 3.0 goes into the ecu following the wiring of the o2 sensor. Its in the same wire loom up to the ecu. On the 3.4 it goes from the 2 pin vehicle speed sensor and follows its wire loom for the o2 sensors also.
so how do I wire it? I read on a few of the other 3.4 swaps that had older trucks with the mechanical speed cable that the cable goes into the combo meter and generates a signal and goes through the dash harness to the ecu. I havent figured out how the signal works on my newer electrical speed sensor with no cable yet. Does it split the signal sending one to the combo meter and then to the ecu also?
Thanks Travis.

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/toyot...t-working.html Here you go. What I done is I cut my transmission harness off the 3.0 and spliced them into the unused wires for the auto trans. It makes it so you don't have to run separate wires through the firewall just for the trans.
