3.4 swap question

I have access to a 3.4 from a 98 4Runner complete in a running truck. I would come with everything I need, wiring harness, ecu, evap system etc. However, it does have about 200,000 miles on it. It's also a manual, which I was looking to find. I also have access to another 3.4 out of a 2000 4Runner that was an automatic, but with only 56,000 on it. Would it be possible to pull everything except the engine from the 98, and grab the engine from the 2000 and make it work?

I would love for this to work, as I wouldn't have to put hardly any work into the engine with 56,000 miles on it. Would I just have to switch intake manifolds? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Red face

The low mileage engine does not know what year it was born unless you tell it

There would be a few minor things I am sure but nothing that can`t be fixed .

Off the Top of my head the 98 has the big clunky old style Maf no biggie to repin and use the new style Maf

Like any other swap you still need to interface the orginial truck harness.

I would get both engines but that is how I am.

the newer engine has more advanced engine management system if you supercharge or turbo it.
