Thermostat replacement- 94 V6

Posted this in General forum, but figured I'd try over here too. I apparently either don't have a thermostat on my truck, or it's stuck open, as I'm running WAAAAAY too cold. I'm considering doing this myself (this weekend), but how hard is it really? It looks like the thermostat on the V6 is on the outside of the water pump, under the motor, but is it terribly difficult to do? Just trying to weigh the pain-in-the-a** vs. paying a mechanic factors here. Any advice, hints, or experience on replacement costs is appreciated.

Thanks guys!

the T-stat on your v6 is a piece of cake. Follow the lower rad hose to where it meets the engine, it's right there. The gasket sits vertically so make sure you get it on right.... The first time.

Not many responses, but it was enough to tell me to do it myself. It really was cake, and I would've been pissed if i paid to have it done. I was just used to my Jetta, having to pull everything apart! Now, on to the next repairs!
