Please Help!!

I have a 99 tacoma v6 auto with a 166,000 miles. I failed inspection for the 02 sensors. No big deal. Before i had a chance to change them, my truck started acting up. It starts up and idles fine, but when i give it some throttle, it almost chokes out. I went ahead and changed my plugs(cause they were all fauled up), thinking that would solve my problem. But it hasn't. I havn't drove off my block since changing the plugs. The exhaust seems to be putting out the same as before all this happened. So i dont think it is the cat. converter. Now im just frustrated.
Any ideas would help.

thanks in advance

Plug wires and try pulling the O2's out and burning the buildup off of them with a acetylene torch and steel brush.
