I know you are supposed to go from farthest to closest, but on 3rd generation 4Runners, I heard the farthest is driver rear.

So should the order be:

driver rear, passenger rear, passenger front, and driver front?

The T fitting that splits the brake line to the 2 rear drums is above the center of the differential so both rears are equally distant. It should not matter.
