Drain / Fill plug location on Front Diffs

Finally have all the right sockets
for the front diffs. Its a 10mm hex socket for the fill plug, and a 11mm (or t-60 star socket) for the drain plug. theyre both suppose to be 10mm but the drain plug is definitely larger than the 10mm hex. How do you charge $2 for aluminum washers and call them "crush gaskets"??? Atleast thats what they look like?

I just finished up my 2001 Tacoma SR5 4x4 ext. cab. The back was 24MM top and bottom plug and the front was 10MM allen wrench top and bottom. It took 2.9 quarts of Valvoline 75-90 syn. for the back and about 1.4 for the front. The metal washers that were on the plugs looked good to me so i just used them over. Never found anything in my book about replacing them. All they are is a thin flat washer.
I'm running Mobile1 syn in the 2.7 engine and now i need to change the tranny to synthetic but I'll have that done so it can be flushed out first. Also greased it today while i was under there and there was 8 grease fittings total. Mike

Guys,
Im about to change my front diff, rear diff and transfer case. The rear diff is pretty self explanatory but for the front diff, you need to remove the skid plate, right? As you can tell, I haven't looked under the vehicle yet.

Keep a close eye on those washers, I bet you get some seepage because you reused them.

No gaskit washers on the 01 Tacoma
96 Runner, Thanks for the heads up but i checked with the Toyota service dept in Charleston WV and they said there are no crush gaskits anymore on the Tacomas. I didn't think it was because it's not that typ of washer. Don't know when they changed them but I'm glad they did. Mike
