Clear Coat Gone from original wheels

The clear coat has worn off of my original wheels making them look kind of bad and very difficult to clean.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use or do to bring them back to life?

Picture doesn't really show it but they look like the have white crud on them that won't come off when bursh scrubbing with soap and water.

Griot's garage sells some high-end aluminum wheel paint. VHT also makes some. I would lean towards Griot's. Do a google search and his site will pop up.

Remember, prep is the key.

Anybody used the Griots Alloy paint or something equivalent and have some pictures to show?
