99' chevy v-6 vortex engine swap for 83' yoda4x4?
Recently came up on a Chevy v-6 vortex engine with 80,000 miles for free! Comes with all the computer chips and such.
I currently have a 22-r rebuilt jasper engine in my 83 Toyota 4x4. Is this a good swap??
I have priced out a conversion kit through Advanced Adapters at about $1,200. How much of these parts can I salvage/ need to buy? Any other possible information regarding this swap would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you do the swap I would be interested in the 22re if you are going to sell it What kind of miles on it?

Do it. You can save alot of money by fabbing some of the stuff yourself. Personally I would go with a GM tranny and adapt the Tcase to the tranny.
I have done a few of theses swaps and they are quit easy. Don't let anyone tell you different. 5 wires and the motor runs great, hook up a few more and all your gauges and other crap works.
It seems you have a working 22R, that could pay for the whole swap, or just keep the 22.
