Seems that you're doing it right the first time!
I think 5'' springs will be very tall for a Pick-Up with 35's... Maybe you could step down to 4''. I've 4'' springs in the front of my truck and it has a heavy diesel engine and I clear 35's fine.

Looks good.
Are you sure you are going to be sitting level with the 5" fronts and chevy rears? You should look into that, because I've heard people only getting 3" or so out of a chevy pack.
Also, where are the pics?

Im really not trying to pick on you or anything...but I would recommend selling off those chinese tg bearings and get OEM koyo or nsk bearings if you want to drive it on the street....... I wouldnt even carry those TG bearings as a trail-spare....

hell yea im doing this the 1st time. And by the way its also my daily driver. No im not breaking shafts...just dont want to take the chance with the locker in the rear end. I was always taught to overbuild so thats kinda what im doing in the rear. As far as the rear springs go i should be close to level. if not ill have to add some springs or a lift block. Also whats wrong with bearings trail gear offers? have you broken them yourself?

thanks for the info. Blizzard. im taking your advice and i switched the order to 4" springs. I guess it would be easier in the long run to add more height if i need it rather than taking it away.
Dirt Boy. how much would you sell me the front bearings for...would you trade for my tg bearings?

I have never run the TG bearings but I have held them in my hand...they are the cheapest POS I have ever seen...
Also heard many stories about them blowing up....I would highly advise against using them on anything but a dedicated trail rig...
I would sell them and put the money towards OEMs

Cool build! I've got an '86 longbed that has been a through several build phases.
You've got a good parts list going. Good choice on the Marlin suspension, although I too would recommend the 4" kit w/ USA springs vs the 5". You will like the Aussie locker too. They work great.
My opinion, I'd go MTR's over Swamper radials. Another good option is the Interco Trxus MT. The new BFG KM2 looks real nice too, but probably only available in a 17" wheel right now.
x2 on getting some better bearings. Some Trail gear stuff is decent, some is junk and the bearings are not worth purchasing. You get what you pay for.
The stock rear axle shafts are VERY strong but it doesnt hurt to have the added insurance of the alloy shafts. You'd be hard pressed to break a stock rear on 35s even with a locker.

I changed my order to 4" springs but when marlin went to ship they said they were out of stock and it would be 2 to 3 weeks before they could get them to me so for now im gonna try the 5" springs. Any body interested in my ifs parts... Practically brand new everything. Let me know.

Not to worried about the front 5" springs any more after seeing this pic. He is running 34's and his springs arent broken in yet. Also i can always remove a few leafs. One thing i didnt mention is i do plan on putting on 36 or 37" tires during hunting season and still want to be able to be chained up with out rubbing. I really do appreciate your feed back for the 5" springs and i hope i wont be regretting it, but if i do ill be the 1st to admit you were all right. (9th picture)

I was reading the thread (from the pic you posted) and it seems that gentleman now has driveline angle issues caused from being too high...something else to think about
