I cut this off the old beater today. I figured there was no reason to let it go to waste. Only took about an hour or so to cut it off. After cutting it off I smoothed it up and then cut it in half. I plan to sleeve it to make it 32" center to center instead of the normal 29".

Stock 3.4 motor. Hybrid R150 and R151 Trans.

I'm using the input and bell-housing from a 96+ R150, the trans from a pre 95 R150 and the tail-housing from an R151. All of that so I can put duals in the 4Runner.

SCHWEET!!!! I love 3rd gens, there body is alot more refined.... as far as the hummer rims recentered they work freaking awesome but instead of running the pitbulls my buddy is running a set of goodyear militarys and they are really worth the price, he was able to run down to 3 psi in the snow and had no problems, and really easy to take off the tires due to 8 bolts, I believe, instead of a million(over exagerating but ssems like it). But I wouldn't mind rocking pitbulls either, I hear they get the job done but I wonder how loud they are? Sweet thread hope to see some more progress.....

I ended up not getting the 16.5 tires and now I'm kinda regretting it but I have to live with it now. I ended up getting 17's as they where over $100 cheaper. Plus it would have cost over $1000 to get the H1's. I didn't really see where I'd have the need for bead-locks with a full body rig to be honest and I saved over $800+ by going 17" wheels and tires.

I want to go dual cases but with my setup i thought it would be kinda hard and expensive. I have a pre95 R150 with a chevy bellhousing adapter. But if i get an R151 I can use that tailhousing on my R150? or would it be easier just to put the whole R151 on my bellhousing? I believe they have the same bolt pattern for the bellhousing (bell to trans not bell to motor) so...I think i can just put the R151 in there and then get dual cases a lot easier. Please correct me if im wrong.

You can use the 151 tailhousing on the older pre95 R150's. I didn't want the lower 1st gear with the 3.4. The bellhousing's for all the R150's and the R151 are the same bolt pattern.

Starting to finally work on the truck. Today we swapped some stuff over to my brothers 4Runner. I also removed all of the stickers from the darn thing. I hate stickers all over trucks so they had to go.

The plan for the next few days is to get her in the garage and start cutting her up.

I found a set of used Centerline ICE - DOT legal bead-locks. I picked up 5 for a steal of a deal. I got them cheaper than I could get re-centered H1's.

They're 17x9. 4.5 BS. I really like the look. I might have them professionally powder coated black one day but plan to just run them as is for now.

Thanks man.

I started working on my thirds today. I had to order a set of shims from Toyota ($100 for 23 shims ) to get the correct CBPL and BL on the 9.5 E-locker.

Well yesterday we made it official. I got a lot done in a few hours last night. Removed the trans, rear axle, exhaust, gas tank and some of the front end stuff. Today I've got the front end completely pulled apart.

I'm planning to start cutting tomorrow. No real hurry. I'm still waiting on some parts.

Cleaned garage up.

My little helper. She's awesome.

DAY 2. April 17.

I got the front IFS crap cut out today. I was going good and planned to get everything ground down when my neighbors asked me to stop as it was loud. Tomorrow will be game on.
