How do you guys feel about wheeling with noobies. I would like to take a trip to big bear with some expierienced people. I have a 05 taco with donahoe coils . I should have 285/75s on crawler steelies by this weekend. I dont have any body protection other that what comes stock on the trd off road pkg. I do have the rear locker. I would like to do some mellow trails and not have to worry about body damage until i get sliders.
Do you guys all know eachother or do you just meet when you get up there?Would I be welcome if I went . I would probably need some assistance like spotting and stuff ?

I'm a newbie also (Mar 05). You should come with us. I am taking my 4Runner out on it's first off road trip also. Not looking to get super crazy with it yet either. I cannot speak for everyone but it is not like you wouldn't be welcomed because you are new to Yotatech. I am going without a spotter also. Usually on the tough obstacles there are a lot of people watching and helping unless you are the lead vehicle which we will not be. I did the Socal TTORA Miller Jeep Trail run with my Tacoma and these guys are pretty cool and super helpful. Good people and good times. I think that most of the other guys know each other. I have gone wheeling with Marc P once at Coral Canyon.

If for some reason there's not an easy trail run put together there's plenty to do up there and I'm sure you could find some information on trails you cold tackle and fire roads to explore. The scenery is great.
I definately don't advise any medium+ trails without sliders and a rear bumper. Pin striping is possible on any trail difficulty so if you don't want to see any of that on your truck just park, get an adventure pass, and ride along with someone.
