Depending on final timing and availability of stuff for
stock noobs, I'd love to make the trek from nor cal.

'cause I'm just dumb that way... among others.

From Bend to Greenwater (Assuming that is where this is going down) its 357 miles and 7 hours, 30 minutes.

I'm looking at 1361 miles and 21 hours. I'd love to come. I'd need to take 8-10 days off though. I just need to know which 10 days to request.

Thanks for the info, 7 hours 30 min isn't too bad. Total it will take me around 17-18 hours (i think). Now I just need to know what days!

Rather than going from Bend to Greenwater. You may want to find some guy to run the trail East to West. Get up Early and meet everyone over on the west side.

As a newby, I'm definitely interested in going, and especially on taking an intro class- do you teach the jedi-mind extraction trick?

I generally leave the "Jedi Mind Extraction" technique until at least the second lesson. To many people were using it for other than good...

I have attended Rob's Trail 101 class, very informative and fun day spent. I have also run the Naches in my STOCK 2002 TRD Taco without any problems, well, ok, maybe one:

Could have been easily avoided though... :pat:

And that was East to West, the more difficult direction

Cool Hi Strangers!

Hi everyone!

That summer run looks like a blast. I am planning to be there with my Pathfinder. I have been busy with work for the past couple of months and have not been able to hook up on recent runs. I already informed the wife that we were doing the overnighter when the time comes.

See ya on the trails,

Jim

Duty schedule permitting I will bring some Canadian class to this outing!!!

Haven't been able to make it in for one of these since 2001 due to military commitments but I will hopefully have a trained stand in for the summer.

Dudes, I am so in! I can not wait! This 4x'ing thing kicks butt. I was looking to have the SAS done by June or so, but I have to wait on the SAS now! So, I wil do a locker in the rear for now, probably a TrueTrac! Read some kewl things about it!

Oh Ya, Rob, I would definitely love to attend your new-b class! Dates, Dates, and Dates!!!!!

Just a suggestion for you. If you're planning on building an all out rock/mud rig, don't go with the True Trac. It's a good piece of equipment, but, it's not a locker and you will be change it in a year or less. I'd suggest that you buck up for the new e-lockers, and ARB or similar.

Been there, done that already. I know where you're headed with your truck. You'll save your self a lot of time and money by going right to the final product.

Just my $.02.

I made this sticky like the Pismo Jam and the EC4RJ threads.

I really want to go also. I'd almost fake my own death to get time off work to attend.

We need to set a date soon though. I'm curious about wether or not there are any other large gatherings going on in that area over the summer that we would want to avoid.

At the 02 CO4RJ we were worried about there being over 100 full size Heeps in the area over the same weekend. We were even a little worried that the tiny town we used as a base might run out of gasoline since FSJs are pretty thirsty.

I don't know where to begin researching the possibility of another big event in the area that we would want to schedule around.
