Front offroad bumpers

My wife hit a deer a few months ago and I am planning now to upgrade. I'm having a hard time finding T-100's listed at most places. Do I need to be looking at 4-runners or Land Cruisers of similar yrs, or do I have to have a T-100 specific?

Also, thinking about possibly building one. Anyone done that?

i think you'll have to go t-100 specific since it's kinda the in-between model that still uses mini-truck parts on a full-size body, before they went all full-size parts for the tundra model.

here's one from Tactical Armor Group: The Wincher

i'm also fairly certain TJM used to make bumpers for the t-100, and it just so happens TJM products are once again available in the US.

if you have the equipment, by all means make it yourself - you'll save money and can customize it to however you want it.

I've been meaning to call TJM to see if they still do (or will) make a T100 bar. If they don't I'd be tempted to get a T17 for a 80 series cruiser and have some mounts and a grille/light guard fabbed up. Although I like the receiver option on the TAG, the 3/16" steel in that wincher sounds like a heavy sucker for our somewhat underpowered trucks - maybe I'm wrong though. Sounds like a call to TAG's in order too.

what year t-100? if its got the 3.4 its nowhere near underpowered lol, a front bumper isnt going to hurt your power anyways, its a different concept if you know what i mean

It's a 3.4. And I agree dead weight won't kill usable power like say, running 35s on stock gears, but in the battle of weight vs gravity, that weight takes a toll on the long mountain grades. I guess what I should say is, I realize weight wouldn't be decreasing my power output, but just be using more of it on passes.

WOW! Thanks for sharing that link. It sounds like my modded TJM plan is a MUCH safer bet.
