86bedlesstoy's T100 build
Just bought a 1997 T100 5speed 124k! Black and Grey paint with grey interior. Looking for a simple build here. Looking for more speed and traction with this one. Finally got the engine and trans I wanted.

Just installed a LEER 100XL topper and bought a new glass rear window for it costing a crazy $350! Wondering about my full coverage insurance through Progressive. A co-worker said that if it is not bolted down and I have a break in it is not covered! Is this true, Anybody else have a word on this?

I got a truetrac in the rear of my T. I don't know how far your looking to go with yours, but I went with the truetrac cause it's still pretty street friendly.
I just looked a little out of curiosity, but it looks like they don't make a zip locker for the Axle in the rear of our T.

How does the TruTrac do in adverse weather? I drive a majority in the snow/ice during the winter being I live in the Rocky Mountains. Hey wondering if anybody has ever upgrade to STEEL BRAIDED BRAKE LINES..

I got the under side of mine Sprayed with LineX, it helped a lot but it still moves.
Steel brake lines made my brakes feel much stronger. I would get them for sure.
mine came with my BlazeLand kit. not sure on the kit your talking about.

Thanks Zpd, I will be doing my first oil change and rotating the BFG's in a X pattern since it is 4wd and will give a good even pattern. My oil of choice for this new vehicle of mine will be 5w30 Mobil 1 Extended Life. After winters with -30 degree mornings when I need to start up my truck. All the testing pointed me to there product.

I hear ya with the winter driving. I see by your avatar that your in colorado too.
I picked the truetrac because it is th most forgiving on the street as far as limited slips go. If I hammer the throttle, it gives a solid engagement, but otherwise it's not incredibly noticable. I do try to stay out of the throttle on ice, cause any LSD/locker/traction aid will go crazy on ice.
I did remove my truetrac this last Saturday (2/1/14) so that I could regear it. It was very strange driving the truck without it. I'm just waiting on a few parts then back in she goes.
As far as stainless lines go, I have a stainless extended in the rear. Basically just look for a kit for a 86-95 pickup, as we have the same suspension as one in the front. I ordered trail gears extended kit for my truck, but didn't end up using the front lines because they were excessivly long.

I used some construction adhesive on the hood, worked really well to glue it all back in place. It doesnt look all to nice from the underside tho b/c I got lazy and the caulk gun kept clogging.
Another area that moves alot is the backseat support (the part the seats actually rest on when down if you have an x-cab). I had a squeak I couldnt figure out for years till I noticed the metal is only attacked with a few screws. A pile of silicone caulk later (knock down vibration) and some self tapping screws took care of that. Might not have that issue, I did b/c I keep a ton of my work gear back there and its heavy.

Well after I have replaced my topper window I will be looking for something to add traction in those sticky situations, Thanks for all the help.

Not bad...but I'm not sure if any of the vents are cut open. Not sure that front vent would work as the back of the radiator is further back than the vent.
You might be better off trying to install the Ford Raptor hood vents instead.
