Wiper control modual
on my 2000 Tacoma V6 I have the Wiper stalk that has the intermittent control ring on it and the stalk has 4 positions:
-Off-
-Int-
-Low-
-High-
Now for the problem, when set to off, the wipers are off, in whatever position I shut them off in: straight up, diagonal, down, anywhere in the entire sweep.
I don't seem to have any intermittent control.
-Int- is the same as LOW
-Low- is Low speed
-High- is High speed.
so to paraphrase the wipers stop wherever they are when I turn the stalk to off. int doesn't seem to work at all and is just like low.
I was wondering what could be the cause of this?
Is there a wiper control modual?

I am having similar problem on my 4runner. No intermittant wiper but for the rear only. I can't even find a wiring diagram at this point that relates to the problem. You may have a relay that is not functioning properly. Good luck and a bump for you. holy old post. Guess I should lok before writing.

I haven't found a wiring diagram, but my friend and I were talking. we figured that the one part that could cause all of these problems, was the stop sensor for the wipers, the sensor that is triggered when the wipers are at the bottom of their sweep. At low and high which work as they are supposed to the motors just cycle until you stop them. but on intermittent the motors dont stop cycling because they never get the signal from the stop sensor, to stop at the bottom of the sweep so the motors keep cycling.
