AM1 fuse blowing

Whenever I put the am1 fuse in it blows immediately. I have no power to anything and cannot figure it out. Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong and what the am1 fuse is for? Been working on it all day and am going nuts! Thanks

It would help if you posted what year/model.
That makes it easier to follow exactly where the wiring goes.

AM1 supplies a lot of things, but it shouldn't supply everything, that is supplied by your ALT fuse [usually 80 or 100 A].
