'98 4rnr horn fuse keeps blowing out - please help
hey
recently, my horn has been progressively getting worse, going from a wimpy horn sound, to literally just a "ding". then, it stopped making any noise at all. i looked, and the fuse was blown, so i put a new one it, and right away, all it did was a little "ding" and blew the fuse again.
so since the horn got progressively worse, i assume that the horn is shot, and might get a new one. but what about the fuse that breaks automatically?
is there possible a short somewhere else, that draws unnessecary power to my horn?
any help??????????
i did recently get a new battery. but, i got it when all the horn did was "ding"...and the horn did the same thing, ("ding"), for about a week after i got the new battery...so i dont think the new battery had any effect on the issue....

it sounds like the horn shorted out.you might try unplugging the horn ,replace the fuse and push the horn button. if it has a short besides the horn it should still blow the fuse.if it doesn't pop the fuse it is a good chance it was the horn.
