Question Winter Door Lock Lubrication

Even though it's only Thanksgiving, it's already well-below-zero (yesterday was -33*F most of the day), so I calls it Winter. I sprayed some de-icer into the door locks on my '88 4Runner, but the mechanism is still stiff (not jammed, but stiff), and I really don't want to break-off the key when I (try to) unlock the door. I'd leave it unlocked, but consider it unwise to "invite" trouble.

Advice? Solutions?

Alternatively, does anyone know of heavy-duty keys which wouldn't break under our winter conditions?

TIA!

Maybe some silicone oil or some graphite would work.

Wd-40 is what you want. It disperses the water so theres nothing to freeze up.

Just stick the little hose into each lock, spray a little, wait, spray a little more then work the key back and forth. Do this 2-4 times to all your locks. Should clean out all the gunk too!
