I guess that is the whole point. We spend a little more and never need to throw them away as they are built a bit better.
To each his own. It's your money to throw away your mats as you see fit. I have had a lot of cheapo mats and of course you get what you pay for. There are lots of imitation quality mats out there, and some of them cost just a few bucks less than Husky mats (not liners), and you can spend more and still not get the quality of fit that Husky or WeatherTech offer with their liners.
Michelin makes some I see at WalMart for example and I think even Goodyear offers mats. Clearly there is a market for all of us and they are stepping up to offer the choices.

I got mine from Sams club. I was walking down the isles and saw some rubber floor mats for 20 dollars. I went to pick them up to check them out and good lord they were heavy. I'll take some pictures of them. Don't remember the brand though..

I just got the WTs in this week (bought used from T4R) and they are great. Color matches ok but they cover up a ton of the carpet and I can't imagine those things ever warping or folding.
