Need your opinions - Smallest beater Yota to launch a boat??
We bought a cabin that's about 100 miles from our house last summer near Priest Lake. I'm looking for a small beater type rig that we can leave up there with our boat just to drive the .5 miles to the launch. I figure I'll save at least $50 in gas each trip by driving our Subaru instead of the LC, so after a couple years it will pay off, as well as having a fun "beach and bar shuttle".
I'm guessing the boat and trailer weighs 4000 - 5000 lbs. (21ft Chaparral with 454 and tandem trailer). Do you think a 4banger Yota or Wrangler in 4lo could handle this? No way am I talking about hitting paved roads at high speeds.
Thoughts??

Thanks for the input guys. I'd consider an old Chevy if the price was right, but a topless jeep or Yota just sounds more fun scooting around the lake.
Its good to know that is should be doable at least.
