Just traded my Jeep

Just traded my 1991 wrangler to a guy for a 2WD 95 4runner. The interior looks great, it runs awesome. Odometer reads 275k, but the 3.0 motor and transmission only have about 75k on them. It drives great, other than the mushy brakes, and I'm already loving it.

So...what do I do next, other than take the v-dub love thing off the front. It's going to be my daily driver at least until I finish nursing school, but I want it to look good and still keep halfway decent mpg.

Nice trade, that 4runner looks identical to my wife's 4runner other than the wheels and tires. I would start with some fluid changes and general checkups on air filter, fuel filter and bleeding the brakes.

I hate to break it to ya, but.....those 3.0 V6's get bad mileage. Mine gets about 16 mpg in city driving.

Yeah I've been reading on here about them mnot being great, but that 16 you get around town is a lot better than I was getting in the jeep.

Yeah I think I may do the fluids today before any football starts. How hard is it to get to everything in there?

a good start would include oil change, fuel filter and change the rear end and transmission fluid. all which can net you better mpg. i would recommend a chilton guide or just looking around on yotatech!
