Sounds like a good plan. Keep a record book (time, date, etc..) of every attempted contact with him and when you do talk to someone record their name and what was said. Judges like to see you made a good attempt to settle out of court before you get there. Good luck Mama

I can relate to the getting nervous and not wanting to be confrontational, but that just tells me what a kind and goodhearted person you are. Although it's uncomfortable to be aggressive and demanding, there are times when you just have to stop being so nice, stick to your guns, and stand up for yourself and your rights. It doesn't make you a bad person, just a courageous one.

At least you have another daily driver for now so you're not stranded. If anything happens with that, you have YotaTech as your 24 hour tech support line. I hope the oil change place does the right thing; good luck with that. Now, go get 'em, Mama!

Well gang, my complaints have been officially filed. I have filed with the Better Business Bureau as well as the Attorney General, not to mention all the other rabbit trails I have followed in the last 2 1/2 months. Hopefully this weasel will be willing to work with me when he returns from vacation on Monday.

I'm under the impression that the schmuck will be returning from vacation next week... hopefully he'll find a little something in his mailbox from The Attorney General and/or Better Business Bureau upon his return...

Good luck, I will have you in my prayers. That seriously sucks, I have a bad temper so I probably would have went to jail, cause I love my truck and it already has its problems and I would have been cursing up a storm. They would have to call the cops on me cause I would be close to killing someone!!!

ok, it's official. That quack has officially denied any responsibility, per his response to the attorney general. So I guess we will now be forced to drag this through court. What a pain.... I miss my truck... *heavy sigh

My first (& last) trip to JiffyLube was in 1996 with a Nissan 4x4 pickup. I was making a quick trip from DC to TN and had to change my oil before I left. I ran in and they wanted to charge me $176.00 for various hoses, filters, wiper blades, etc. which they "said" I needed (I do all my own maintenance). I walked out and have never been back. I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles; wish I was closer I'd help you out. Good Luck!

Well gang, things are slowly trudging along. I've got a lawyer who is confident that we have a strong case and now that I was finally able to send her some money, I think we are ready to get this ball rolling.... Long live TYKE!

Well, it took a full month to get that crook served with papers, and we thought for a brief fleeting moment that he was offering to settle. No such luck. We anticipate a court date in early October.
Anybody up for a road trip to see our beautiful fall color foliage? I'll put ya up on the stand for expert testimony!
Meanwhile, the '89 "Dog Paddle" has treated us well, including a combined two weeks up to Silver Lake Dunes... ahh, if only Tyke knew what he was missing out on... *Heavy sigh. Thanks for checking on me, GoHawks. I appreciate the support.

Hard to tell from the picture but the filter may have been crossed threaded when installed. This would show as damage to thread on filter adapter and filter. That is a workmanshhip issue.
