alloy wheels stuck to axles
so far i can only get one wheel off the rest are rusted to the axles any ideas of how to remove the wheels we have sprayed them with PB.
smaked the living hell out of one on the tire but they wont budge i do not want to hit the wheel with a sledge hammer but may have to. maybe put a wood block on the rim.

well i have kicked the heck out of the tires if you look at th other thread i posted i cant drive the truck due to i stripped it to the ground i got the other rear wheel off the axle but the 2 front ones are still stuck i am going to try to hit the tire with a 8# sledge been spraying it all day with PB and wd40.
i have to say if the truck had run then i would have tried the stopping fast trick

i would just use a block of wood and a hammer and the back of the rim always has worked fine for me. best way i have foung is the take a 4x4 treated or whatever and if the truck is jack up to but a block to hold it level with the rim and run the 4 by to the other side of the truck to the ground and smash it with the sledge hammer

I sprayed a little WD-40 and put a piece of 2x4 against the inside of the wheel and pounded the crap out of it with a BFH.Try rotating the wheel with each strike so it won't bind.
Try Liquid Wrench too.It has rust inhibitors. And rub a little grease or something on the hub when you put 'em back on.

tried all of the above torch, PB blaster, pryed these things are stuck good thing is they dont have to go back on the front IFS is going to the scrap yard.
the auto hubs wont come off yet as well have been going out every hour or so and spraying the bolts with PB.
i hope that they will come off in the morning.
i think these wheels had not been removed in a few years by the PO.
and he had stated to us that the truck had not run in at least 2 years i think.

hmmm my usual take on this is to sit on my butt looking at the tire, i then just start kicking one side, then the other, then again, so on and so forth. always has worked for me. i know i prolly look like im have a fit, but it works, the wheels on my first car hadnt been removed in about 4 years the owner said. and it needed new brakes, hmmer didnt work, torch didnt work, kicking it and looking like a total fool worked out great tho lol

Just thinking out loud...
... what if you set up a bottle jack and a 4x4 under the vehicle between both wheels? Horizontal to the ground. Like this: ||----||.
You could put a lot of even pressure that way. One wheel would have to give. You'd have to rotate wheels and change postions to keep things from binding, but it might work. Maybe connect the jack to the 4x4 so it stayed together and be easier to set back up in the next postion.

IMHO, the suggestion to loosen the lugs and drive a bit isn't a good idea, but I have had success with loosening the lugs, putting the vehicle back on the ground and rocking it from side to side. Use the vehicle weight to break the corrosion bond. Just don't loosen the lugs too much, just a couple of turns so the wheel won't move too much when it breaks free.

no truck any more just the frame with the block and the IFS back is gone no axle nothing, stripped
now i see why the guy wanted to get rid of it the block has a 3 inch hole where a rod came through, there went the idea of rebuilding the motor
these wheels where going to be for some 33 i could swap out when going wheeling i guess i am going to have to buy 2 if i cannot get these off
