Skid Plate won't come off.

Hello,
I am new here and just purchased an 86 4Runner a couple of months ago. I bought it from my dad who purchased it new way back when. I am glad to keep in the family and can't wait to build it up and do some wheelin.

I have a question after running into my first problem. I tried to remove the skid plate but the cross member passenger side bolt is not coming out. It will turn, but it just continues to turn and will not come out. The other 3 came out no problem, but I can not figure out how to remove the last bolt. Has anyone else had this problem.

Thanks.

Try to pry a flathead screwdriver under the lip of it while your turning it. The idea is the pressure will help it turn out.

can you get your hand behind it in case someone put a nut on the back that's turning with the bolt? this may not be possible, i don't know the bolt in question, but i've had that happen. threads were stripped and someone put a nut on back which rusted to the bolt. i had to cut it off

I will try the screw driver. I tried to see it there is a nut, but I am not sure how the bolt is attached. If I do get the bolt out, am I just stuck with using 3 bolts.

Thanks,
