Question about tire and rim size for 99 4runner
I've got a 1999 4runner 4x4. When I bought the truck it already had bfg mud terrains 32x11.5 on the stock rims. According to google my stock rims are 15x7. Am I able to buy different sized rims? or will they not fit on the truck if i were to buy 16 inch rims(for example)
The truck also had a 1 1/2 inch lift in the front and 2 inch in the back when I bought it.
I need to buy new tires and I'm going to get new rims too. I was interested in all terrains, 33x12.5. Will these fit on my truck? and will 33x12.5 fit on a 15x7 inch rim?
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to tire and rim sizes.
Thanks for your help

Yea those look like the 16x7, they should have that stamped on the outer section of the wheel. But yea 15's will not fit. I looked into getting 17"s because the cost of 16" tires are over priced.

Would I be able to fit 33x12.5 on 16.5 rims or would there be rubbing? Because so far everything I've looked at for all terrains tht are the size I want are for 16.5 rims

16.5" rims are for 3/4ton trucks. There is no safety bead on the wheels. The tire is held on simply by air pressure. Not sure if they even make a 6 lug 16.5" wheel. I thought they were all 8 lug...
Generally speaking, most tire manufacturers recommend a 8.5"-10" wide wheel/rim for tires that are 12.5" wide. Most guys put them on 8-10" wheels.
Will they fit on your stock 7" wheel? Yes. But it cause the bead to "roll" inward and not seat properly, so it's not recommended. It can also cause odd tread wear.

On those rims pictured, you can fit 285 75 16s. Those are 33"...however, even with the slight lift you have, you still may rub a bit. That can be fixed with some pounding though. You may also need to add some wheel spacers, as the thinner wheel will cause more "bulging" of the tire which can create UCA rub.
There are tons of guys running 33s with those stock wheels.
