luchbox locker for front ifs 7.5
ok i blew out the spider gears in the front 7.5 diff and want to replace the spider gears with just a luchbox locker or lsd. I dont want a full carriar replacement i just want to do a luchbox locker...my question is whats the best deal out there? yes i do a little occasional offroading but its a daily driver, i also replaced my live hubs with manual hubs so i got that part covered... and would i beable to replace the spider gears without taking the whole front diff assembly out of the truck?
thanks, colton

ya, you should be able to swap without pulling the whole diff. you will have to lower the front support piece though to get to everything. and words of advice, dont leave it out too long (like overnight) or the frame will twist and the ears will close to where you wont be able to get the cross piece back in a lined up without some persuasion.
theres a lot of different places to get a lunchbox locker, ebay or classifieds are a good source for used ones. check the teeth and make sure all the springs and pins are still there though. for a new one, the last one i bought was from rocky road... they had great customer service, and a decent price: http://www.rocky-road.com/toylockright.html I believe Marlin also sells them and they're know for great service. And I think trail gear does as well. PM wabbit on the forum, IIRC hes a Trail gear vendor.
