lose pinon flange on Diff

loose pinion flange

I just pulled my stock 3rd member from my truck to putt in an E locker. when i pulled it I noticed that the pinion flange was a little lose. and the nut was not tight and can be moved ( not that far because the dent in it keeps in in place.) I didn't have any problems with it while it was in the truck. I wanna sell the thing cause i have no use for it anymore. but i wanted to check here to see what need to be done to fix it. if its just a re torque or do i have to pull the whole thing apart?
